We will have my parents, in their fifties, my husband and I and my brother and wife in later twenties, and four children (4yr old boy, 1 1/2 yr old twinboys, and a 6 month old boy). We rented a condo in Gulf Shores for a week last year. Disney is out of the question for this year, but will be explored in a couple more years. What are some other good spots for a vacation with children so young?

Holy cow.
You’re right. Disney is no fun with babies and little ones, they are afraid of the rides and the big huge enormous characters. They need frequent naps/food and the parks are too far away.
I’d be mainly concerned about the parents and what they want to do. You kids are too little to care/remember.
You don’t give the time of year or budget. Do your folks hate the cold/heat? Are they able to hike?
Michigan is nice in the summer but Florida is nice in the winter. There are plenty of science centers (detroit/Orlando) that are worth your time/money for the 4 yr old. And also plenty of other things to do as well.
My sister enjoys the turks and caicos. It’s all inclusive.
Good luck with that.
Our family has had the best vacations (with grandparents) at Montecito Sequoia Family Resort in California. There are family activities, great food, adult activities, counselors who plan activities for kids of all age groups, horseback riding, hiking, and great people.
We went every year when our kids were young.
